Trigger Tracking is an on-demand scanning feature that allows you to instantly run a ranking scan for a selected keyword group-without waiting for its next scheduled scan.

This is especially useful when you need fresh ranking data for client updates, urgent performance checks, or mid-cycle reporting.

Example Scenario

  1. Default Scan Frequency: Every 30 days
  2. Last Scheduled Scan: September 1
  3. Next Scheduled Scan: October 1
  4. Your Requirement: You want updated rankings on September 15
  5. Solution: Use Trigger Tracking on September 15
  6. Outcome: A new scan runs immediately, and your updated report is available the next day (September 16).

Note: Once you trigger a scan, the next scheduled scan will be recalculated from this new date.

Using the example above, your next auto-scan will occur on October 15 instead of October 1.

When to Use Trigger Tracking

  1. Preparing urgent ranking reports for stakeholders
  2. Assessing the impact of recent marketing campaigns or website updates
  3. Checking competitive movements between regular scans
