What is Location Filter in ProManage?

The Location Filter in ProManage allows you to control which Locations, Business Profiles, or Listings you want to view and analyze within the platform. It helps you filter data based on State, City, Locality, Store Name, Listing Type, or Custom Groups, ensuring you only see the most relevant results.

By default:

  1. All locations are selected.
  2. The State option is selected as the primary filter.

How Does the Location Filter Work?

The Location Filter uses a step-by-step hierarchy where each selection narrows the available options in the next level:

  1. State → Primary category.
  2. City → Filtered by the selected State(s).
  3. Locality → Filtered by the selected City(ies).
  4. Store → Filtered by the selected Locality(ies).

Key Behaviors:

  1. If you select a parent category (e.g., State), only its child categories (e.g., Cities in that State) are displayed.
  2. If you try to select a child category without choosing a parent, the parent will not be available to select later.
  3. Use Clear All to reset the filter — all locations will be re-selected by default.

Listing Types in ProManage

There are two listing types you can filter by:

  1. Subscribed – Paid listings actively managed in ProManage.
  2. Unsubscribed – Unpaid listings grouped for reference.

Note: If you select Unsubscribed, all other location filters will be disabled. You must click Apply to view only those listings.

Custom Groups in Location Filter

Custom Groups allow you to filter by predefined location sets that you’ve created for reporting or optimization purposes. You can also filter "Focused Groups" in Custom Group.

Key Rules:

  1. Selecting a Custom Group disables all other location category filters (State, City, etc.) - they will be greyed out.
  2. To switch back, Clear All Custom Group selections.

When to Use the Location Filter

  1. Regional Analysis → View data for a specific state or city.
  2. Store-Level Insights → Focus on one or more stores in a locality.
  3. Campaign Reporting → Check performance for only subscribed listings.
  4. Custom Groups → Quickly pull insights for priority locations without re-selecting each time.
