ProManage’s Calendar and Month-on-Month (MoM) / Year-on-Year (YoY) filters allow you to control the date ranges and comparison benchmarks for your reports and dashboards. These filters help you track performance trends accurately-whether you want to see short-term changes or long-term growth.

1. Calendar Filter

The Calendar Filter lets you choose the time period for which you want to view data across various ProManage modules.

Default Behavior

  1. Most Modules → Loads with the last month date range pre-selected.
  2. Calls & Chats Modules→ Loads with the last 7 days date range pre-selected.

Selecting a Custom Date Range

  1. Click on the date range selector in the top-right of your dashboard or report.
  2. Choose your start date and end date (maximum range: 92 days).
  3. Click Submit to apply the filter-this updates all widgets and data on the page to the selected range.

Preset Date Ranges

For convenience, you can select from the following predefined ranges:

  1. Last 1 Month
  2. Last 2 Months
  3. Last 3 Months
  4. Last 6 Months
  5. Last 1 Year

2. MoM/YoY Filter

The MoM/YoY Filter determines how ProManage calculates growth or decline percentages for your metrics.

Options Available

  1. MoM (Month-on-Month) (default) - Compares the selected date range to the previous month.
  2. Example: If the selected range is March 1-31, 2024, it will compare to February 1-28, 2024.
  3. YoY (Year-on-Year) - Compares the selected date range to the same period last year.
  4. Example: If the selected range is March 1-31, 2024, it will compare to March 1-31, 2023.

Why Use YOY?

  1. Eliminates short-term seasonal fluctuations that can skew results.
  2. Tracks long-term growth trends, making it more meaningful for performance tracking in searches, views, and activities.

Behaviour & Data Availability

  1. YoY data is available only for the past 1 year from the current date.
  2. If last year’s data is unavailable (e.g., business listing was created recently), you’ll see “N.A” for that metric.
  3. If multiple locations are selected and some have YOY data while others don’t, you’ll see:
  4. Example: 50% (YoY) (Data N.A for # listings)

Best Practices

  1. Use MoM for short-term operational tracking (e.g., weekly campaigns or monthly reviews).
  2. Use YoY for strategic performance evaluation and to assess true growth without seasonal bias.
  3. Always check for data availability messages when using YOY, especially for new locations.
  4. When comparing performance, keep your Calendar Filter and MOM/YOY setting aligned with your reporting goals.
