This guide explains how to analyze competitors for your business listing after you've run a keyword scan. You’ll learn how to navigate the Keyword Insights page, explore ranking grids on the map, and review detailed competitor information.

Step 1: Go to the Keyword Insights Page

  1. From your dashboard, select the Keyword you’ve already scanned.
  2. This will open the Keyword Insights Page for that specific search keyword.
  3. The page includes ranking data across the defined distances, directions, and device types you chose when setting up the scan.

Step 2: Navigate to the Profile Rank Overview Table

  1. Scroll down to find the Profile Rank Overview Table on the Insights Page.
  2. This table shows the average ranking of each of your listings for the selected keyword.
  3. Average rankings are based on your chosen distances and directional grid points.
  4. By default, you'll land on "All," with options to filter listings by ranked buckets: 1st–3rd, 4th–10th, 11th–25th, and beyond 25th.

Step 3: Click “View Rank Grid” for the Listing

  1. In the table, locate the listing you want to analyze.
  2. Click the “View Rank Grid” button next to that listing.
  3. This will open an overlay with a detailed map view showing ranking results in a grid layout.

Step 4: Understand the Geo Grid (Map) View

  1. The map overlay shows a 3x3 grid representing 9 directional points:
  2. Origin (your listing’s location)
  3. N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW
  4. Each grid point displays the ranking of your listing for the defined keyword, at specific distances and device types.
  5. Keyword details can be viewed by clicking the down arrow on the left side of the "Your Profile Overview".
  6. By default, the overlay loads with:
  7. The minimum distance you defined for the keyword.
  8. Android selected (since it’s the most-used device type in India).

Step 5: Explore Ranking Data on the Map

  1. Click on any grid point to see detailed results:
  2. Competitor listings retrieved from the simulated search.
  3. Their ranking position, rating, number of reviews, and distance from your listing.
  4. This allows you to understand who you’re competing with at very precise local levels.

Step 6: View Competitor Details in the Right Pane

  1. The right-side pane of the overlay displays:
  2. Your listing’s average ranking (shown in the top-right corner).
  3. A sequential ranking list of competitors, complete with ratings, reviews, and distances.
  4. Note: If you switch to full-screen map view, the right pane will be hidden to give you a larger map display.

Step 7: Use Filters for Distance and Device Type

  1. At the top of the overlay, you’ll find filters to switch between:
  2. Device Types (Android, iOS)
  3. Distances (e.g., 200 m, 300 m)
  4. These filters let you see how rankings change across different user contexts and search radii.

Step 8: Identify Points Where Your Listing Didn’t Rank

  1. For any grid point where your listing did not rank in the top 25 results:
  2. It is assigned a rank of 26 for average ranking calculations.
  3. It is displayed as “25+” on the map and in the ranking sequence.
  4. This helps you spot coverage gaps in your local SEO.

Step 9: Pin Competitor Locations on the Map

  1. Click on any competitor in the right-side ranking list to pin their location on the map.
  2. If the map is zoomed out and you lose your grid view, use the “Back to Grid” button above the map to reset the zoom.

Step 10: Change the Location Being Analyzed

  1. To switch to another of your listings for analysis:
  2. Click the “Change Location” CTA.
  3. A popup will let you select a different location while staying within the same keyword’s scan results.

Step 11: Download the Competitor List

  1. Next to Change Location, click the “Download” button.
  2. This will export the competitor list shown for your selected listing and keyword—ideal for sharing with your team or offline analysis.

Using these steps, you can:

  1. ️ Precisely analyze your listing’s ranking across hyperlocal distances and directions.
  2. Understand which competitors appear for your target keywords.
