Custom Review Attributes allow you to capture business-specific feedback categories beyond the default ones (Service, Staff, Price, Cleanliness, Overall). This feature ensures that ProManage adapts to the unique aspects of your business.
Note: Only CMO users have access to add or manage custom review attributes.
Steps to Add Custom Review Attributes
- Navigate to Settings
- Go to Settings → Custom Review Attribute.
View Instructions (Optional)
- Click “View Instructions” to access best practices.
- Guidelines include:
- Use one or two words for optimal AI mapping.
- Avoid duplicating existing attributes.
- Newly added attributes will appear under Actively Mapped in the Review Filter.
- Removed attributes are shifted to Previously Mapped.
- Processing changes can take up to 24 hours.
- Click “Hide Instructions” once done.

Add a New Attribute
- Click the “Add Attribute” floating CTA (visible only if fewer than 5 attributes are active).
- In the popup:
- Enter the Attribute Name (maximum two words).
- Provide a description (up to 200 characters) to guide AI in identifying review mentions and sentiment.
- Use “Add More” to include multiple attributes in one session (CTA greys out after 5 are added).
- On submission, ProManage records the Created By (username) and timestamp automatically.
Managing Custom Review Attributes
Edit Attributes
- In the attributes table, click Edit (under Actions).
- Only the description can be edited, not the attribute name.
- Save changes to update the attribute; the Last Modified field records the editor’s username and timestamp.
Delete Attributes
- Click Delete (under Actions).
- A confirmation popup will appear.
- Click OK to proceed, or Cancel to abort.
- Deleting is typically done to free up slots, since only 5 attributes can exist at a time.
Attribute Management Table Fields
Each custom review attribute is tracked under a structured table:
- Attribute – The attribute name (up to 2 words).
- Description – The description provided for AI understanding.
- Created By – Username of the creator.
- Last Modified – Username and timestamp of the last edit.
- Actions – Options to Edit or Delete.
History and Export
- Click View History to see all additions, edits, and deletions of custom attributes.
- History includes user details and timestamps.
- Data can be exported for audit or reporting purposes.
- Custom attributes appear dynamically in the review filter panel under Attributes, bifurcated as,
- Actively Mapped: Currently enabled attributes mapped with new reviews.
- Previously Mapped: Previously active attributes that are now disabled.
- Users can filter reviews based on these new attributes.
Expanding the Attribute Limit
By default, you can add up to 5 custom review attributes.
- To increase this limit, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) SPOC for configuration.
With custom review attributes, ProManage ensures your feedback analysis is tailored to your business, enabling more precise sentiment tracking and actionable insights.
